Write it down, then bill for it

  • Notes in the project

Workey Notes gives every project unlimited pages and sub-pages, so call notes, briefs, and checklists sit next to the time entries and invoices they're about.

  • Write, then shape it

Type / to add headings, bullet and numbered lists, checklists, toggles, callouts, quotes, and code. Drag blocks to reorder them. Everything saves as you type.

  • Notes to billable time

Highlight what you did, or keep a Work log block, then click Log time. Enter the hours and it becomes a time entry with clean bullet points, ready for your invoice.

Notes that become time entries

  1. Project
  2. Note
  3. Time entry

Write in a project's Notes, log the work as a time entry on the Timesheet, then bill it on an Invoice. The entry links back to the note it came from.

Questions about notes

Is there a limit on how many notes I can create?

No. Every plan, including Free, gets unlimited note pages and sub-pages. Notes don't count toward your file limit.

How do I turn notes into a time entry?

Highlight the lines you worked on and click Log time, or add a Work log block and use its Log time button. Enter the hours and date, and Workey creates a time entry for that project with your lines as bullet points. The entry links back to the note.

What can I add to a note?

Headings, bullet and numbered lists, checklists, toggles, callouts, quotes, dividers, and code blocks. Type / to pick a block, or use Markdown shortcuts like # for a heading and [] for a checklist. Drag the handle beside any block to move it.

Are notes saved automatically?

Yes. Notes save about a second after you stop typing. If the same page was changed in another tab or device, Workey asks which version to keep instead of overwriting it.
